Organic Korean Peppers (고추)

Lakehouse Farms’ favorite vegetable is Korean peppers. We grow these peppers, dry them and grain them into pepper flakes. It is extremely challenging to grow these Korean peppers organically, as they are prone to a whole host of pests and easily susceptible to various types of diseases. In fact, every year, we lose roughly 1/2 of our peppers to pests and diseases. It’s ok. That’s how nature intended.

At Lakehouse Farms, we also make various types of banchan (Korean side dishes). We only use our organic or wild vegetables, various fruit and herb enzymes, and the best quality seasonings with no preservatives and no MSG. All banchan must be pre-ordered a week in advance. Our banchan menu changes on a weekly basis based on seasonality and availability of vegetables and herbs.
